The revised GPC website is interesting in this aspect.
More Elizabeth, and the blogs where one (or the media) might expect some dissent or differing opinions are buried.

Stuart, consider and weigh carefully the following...or not. Within the context, structure and scope of federalist politics, the charade of representative, parliamentary "democracy" is the best that one can hope for. The true principles and function of democracy diminish in direct proportion to size of constituency. If you have read Leopold Kohr's, The Breakdown of Nations, then his assertion that any society must go fascist at a certain population size will come as no surprise.

The institution of a federalist political party (the actual brand is secondary) is merely an extension and legitimization of the core problem. How this reflects on one's participation with such a latter institution is open for debate.

Thanks for the information, John. It seems that one doesn't get anywhere in the Green Party these days unless one is an avid May supporter.

As I'm attempting to return the Green Party to its political roots as a member, Sebastian, I guess that means I'm taking the middle way.

The form went in, and was accepted, Ron. Oh! I'm giving away the plot.... BTW, I hope everyone has read Part 1, which is where story begins.

I resigned from federal council in 2008, as the "Campaign Committee" was turning into the Politburo (excellent phrase!)

Your description of matters is correct in all details, I think.

I would add my own speculation that the Political Campaign Director was hired because she had been a loyal public supporter of EM during the 2006 leadership campaign, and subsequently.

Which also explains why many other staff, especially organizers, were hired since 2006, despite a lack of appropriate experience.
