I'd read Galbraith and I'd seen some of the poorest ares of London. Greed did it. Once society preached to be content with what one had and to not squander it but those values collapsed with the rise of the new, <em>nouveau riche</em>. <em>Aprés nous, le deluge.</em> Once I dwelt amongst those few but I could not stand their attitudes.
